A mysterious European model/chanteuse with a deep voice, Nico's solo 1967 debut Chelsea Girl was released mere months after the groundbreaking The Velvet Underground & Nico album. Titled after Andy Warhol's experimental 1966 film of the same name, the dark orchestral folk-pop affair features playing and songwriting assistance from the Velvet Underground's Lou Reed, John Cale and Sterling Morrison as well as a then unknown Jackson Browne who was dating Nico at the time. Home to the definitive version of Browne's "These Days," as well as standouts like the title cut and Tim Hardin's "Eulogy To Lenny Bruce." Bob Dylan's "I'll Keep It With Mine" also appears here.
