DJ Bandit: Lightsaver LP

An album that's way more than the DJ set you might guess from Bandit's name – because although he does handle a bit of turntables, he also takes on all sorts of keyboards, effects, trumpet, and flute – and then mixes them with contributions from other musicians on electric piano, tenor, guitar, and even a bit of sitar! There's a few raps on the record – from Jah Tah and MC Bass – but there's also plenty of funky instrumentation too, at a level that really dominates the album overall – and really resonates with some of the other Estonian funk sessions we've dug from the Funk Night label in recent years.
