Death Cab for Cutie: Something About Airplanes LP
Availability: | In stock |
Death Cab for Cutie has announced the vinyl reissue of their first three studio albums, Something About Airplanes (1998), We Have The Facts And We’re Voting Yes (2000) and The Photo Album (2001). These albums have largely been out of print on vinyl since their original pressings (with the exception of a limited-edition box set released by Artists in Residence), and these reissues mark the first time they’re available individually on high-quality 180 gram vinyl. Each LP is presented with its original artwork and includes an MP3 download code.
Still considered by many fans to be Death Cab For Cutie's best album, yet criminally unheard by many newer converts other than the handful of songs that remain staples of the band's live set ("Amputations," "Pictures In An Exhibition," "Fake Frowns"), 1998 debut Something About Airplanes is not just a document of a particular time in the group's history or of a bygone era of indie-rock, it's an enduring work featuring some of their finest songs.
