"Milk in the Sun" is the return of Parker Sprout, an artist with a deep connection and history to Moon Glyph Records. His jangly, dreamy Minneapolis outfit Velvet Davenport was the first band signed to the label, releasing two cassettes and an LP. Returning now as a solo artist, Sprout retains his effortless ability to craft psychedelic and weirdo pop ear-worms but now expands even further into the outré sounds of sonic collage and electronic experimentation. His playful spirit and talent to intertwine these two approaches results in a uniquely captivating listen that’s as self-assured as it is free.
