Skee Mask: ISS010 LP

With its tenth instalment, the Ilian Skee Series gets a generous double EP release. This time around we’ve got a classic club and dub framework, hazy synths and extroverted drum machines abound, with Skee Mask's signature depth and creativity written all over the four to the floor. ‘Dub Schneider’ is misty yet vibrant, pushing the tempo with its house inflections; ‘Dachtekker’ similarly pulsates with spring loaded clockwork beats and anthemic synth swipes. The ferocity reaches a high on aptly titled ‘Stomp’, with bustling rhythms and icy glimmers, before ‘Small Stone S700’ echoes an idyllic landscape populated by ravers.
