With 20 years of writing, releasing, and performing some of Canada's best rock n' roll music under their belt, The Sheepdogs show no sign of slowing down. In 2024, the band purchased their catalogue back from Warner and minted their own record label, Right on Records. The return to independence means The Sheepdogs can write, record and release music more often, looking at each project as a chance to work with new team members and expand their creative and collaborative circles. Their first offering under their new model was Paradise Alone, a 5-song EP recorded and mixed by Grammy award winning engineer Matt Ross-Spang at Southern Grooves Studio in Memphis, TN - released August 22, 2024. They are now following this up with their sister EP, Hell Together that is set for release December 6. Recorded in Toronto with their long time collaborator and Juno award winning engineer Thomas D’arcy, the first single “Handle My Biz,” out October 23, speaks to a widespread experience in today’s economy - working hard all the time, and still not quite finding the peace and satisfaction one desires in life, despite doing everything “right.”
