One of the most iconic and influential albums of all time, Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon now celebrates its 50th anniversary! Primarily developed during live performances with the band premiering an early version of the suite several months before they entered the studio, the group's eighth album was recorded in two sessions in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London and originally released in March 1973. The iconic album packaging, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Hipgnosis' Storm Thorgerson. Available on vinyl for the first time as part of the 50th anniversary celebration, this 1974 performance of Dark Side of the Moon was recorded at Wembley's Empire Pool in London. Housed in gatefold sleeve packaging with two posters featuring design by Ian Emes and Gerald Scarfe. Cover design by Aubrey Powell/Hipgnosis and Peter Curzon/Storm Studios.
