Wino finally drop the long-teased label debut of Dublin pal Officer John, operating with a sort of dusted trip hop energy that starts off full of baggy swagger and gets more blissed as we go, finishing off with a remix from long serving label captain Morgan Buckley.  Wino cap off an imperial 2025 with a 6 track peach from Niall Rogers aka Officer John, opening with sleeper hit ‘Stay’ that comes like The Beta Band riffing on MBV’s ‘soon’, before ‘Pass’ takes us to a more downbeat landscape just north of A.S.O., while ‘Handle’ feels like a late summer afternoon soundtracked by some Escho ace. To end, Morgan Buckley ups the funky drummer and stutters the vox for a classic slice of 90’s balearic-pop. It’s all so naggingly ear-wormy and achingly familiar that it already feels like a classic. Sleep and, um, weep?!
