Initials MB: Twenty-Two LP

A surprising bit of sunshine pop on the mostly-funk Funk Night label – a set that revels in the kind of warm harmonies you might get from the Cali scene after the Brian Wilson generation – but served up with a lean vibe that's a bit more contemporary too! MB handles a range of instruments, and seems to create these larger soundscapes with just a small bit of instrumentation – which singers come together next to his vocals over the top – all with a sound that's maybe somewhere between Louis Philippe and High Llamas! Titles include "Your Daughter", "Frustrated", "Here & There", "Empty Time", "Silly Song", and "Love Brightly".
