Taking their cues from acts like Fugazi and Blonde Redhead, while sharing the stage with Pile, Superchunk, Archers Of Loaf and more, the North Carolina quartet have built their identity the old-fashioned way: loud rehearsals, instinctive collaboration, and live shows that turned curious locals into committed followers. They established a voice rooted in tension and movement: post-hardcore urgency, shoegaze atmosphere, and guitar-centered unpredictability. Produced by J. Robbins, the album channels the live intensity without blunting its edges.
